8 days from Casablanca to Merzouga desert itinerary:

 

DAY 1: CASABLANCA HOTEL PICK UP – RABAT – CHEFCHAOUEN

Our private Morocco Casablanca tour starts today and we pick up you at the airport. After exploring Casablanca main sights we drive towards Rabat where we spend few hours before departing towards Chefchaouen in Rif Mountains where we stay this night in a local riad or hotel.

 

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – FES

Our private 8 day Casablanca tour continues and after Chefchaouen excursion we drive towards Fes where we explore medina in short walking trip. We stay overnight in a local riad or hotel.

 

DAY 3: PRIVATE FES GUIDED WALKING CITY TOUR

Casablanca to desert and Imperial cities tour continues visiting the medina in Fes in guided tour. You explore Fes medina El Bali, also the Jewish quarter , Royal Palace and tanneries. You stay overnight in local hotel in Fes with dinner.

 

DAY 4: FES – MIDELT – ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA DESERT:

We travel towards Ski resort city of Ifrane, often called as the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we continue to Azrou near the cedar forest. You visit Midelt and we pass Ziz Valley to reach cities Erfoud and Rissani. Once we arrive to Merzouga ,we stay in local desert hotel with tasty Moroccan dinner.

 

DAY 5: EXCURSION IN MERZOUGA AND DESERT AND CAMEL TREK

You explore the Sahara desert in Merzouga by visiting interesting places in 4×4 transport. In Khamlia village ,famous for Gnawa music you will learn about local traditional music. You visit Nomad museum in Hassilabied, then we cross desert dunes and we experience Nomad family living in the desert. Later we will drive to Rissani where we visit famous local souk. We drive back to the Merzouga village for a camel trek & desert ride into the camp. An experienced camel guide will lead you crossing the dunes to reach Sahara desert camp where you will have dinner at campfire with cool Berber music. We stay overnight in desert camp , you climb high dunes to watch sunset in Sahara.

 

DAY 6: CAMEL RIDE FROM MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – TODGHA GORGES – DADES GORGES

Today early in the morning we will enjoy watching desert sunrise in Merzouga. Then we ride camels back to the village and after breakfast we leave for Rissani , and Tinghir to explore Todgha Gorges which are the highest, narrowest Gorges in Morocco. Here we may hike within the amazing valley. After lunch we continue to the Dades Valley and we stay in traditional local hotel with dinner and breakfast.

 

DAY 7: TRAVEL FROM DADES GORGES – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

First we drive along the route of the 1000’s Kasbahs. In Kalaat Mgouna in Roses valley you may purchase the rosewater – famous product made from local roses. In Ouarzazate movie studio, then local kasbah and we explore Ait Benhaddou, in guided Atlas tour. Our private Casablanca trip continues passing Tizi n’Tichka to reach Marrakech in the late evening.

 

DAY 8: MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR IN MEDINA AND END OF PRIVATE CASABLANCA TRIP

On the eight day of our Casablanca Morocco tour we explore city of Marrakech in private guided walking city tour. Enjoy walking in Majorelle Gardens, explore the Koutoubia Tower, visit the Saadian tombs, and famous beautiful the Bahia Palace. Our tour finishes and we transfer you back to your hotel or airport.
