5 days from Fes to Marrakech itinerary:

DAY 1: FES – MIDELT – ERFOUD – RISSANI – MERZOUGA DESERT:

Today we start our Morocco tour and we drive towards Middle Atlas mountains to visit the town of Ifrane. It is often called as Switzerland of Morocco. Then we drive towards the cedar forests in Azrou. We continue to Midelt famous for its mineral products and we will pass few Berber villages to reach Ziz Valley. We drive towards Erfoud Rissani and Merzouga desert. We stay here overnight in a desert hotel.

 

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT CAMEL TREK AND OVERNIGHT IN MERZOUGA CAMP

Today we explore the Sahara desert in Merzouga by 4×4. We will visit Khamlia village, famous for the local Gnawa people, and learn about their traditional music. We will visit the Nomad family living in the desert and later today we will drive to Rissani to visit its local souk. We drive back to the Merzouga and we prepare for a unique camel ride into the desert. Our desert tour will be guided by an experienced camel guide and we explore dunes during our camel ride. We will reach the Sahara desert camp to enjoy dinner at a campfire with Berber music. We stay overnight in a desert camp and we may climb a high dunes to watch the sunset in the desert.

 

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – TODGHA GORGES – DADES GORGES

In the morning we continue the private Morocco tour and we ride camels back to the village. After breakfast and shower in the hotel, we head towards Todgha Gorges and we may hike along its valley. Then we drive through the Dades Valley and we pass the rock formations known as monkey toes. We stay overnight in a local hotel.

 

DAY 4: DADES GORGES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE:

Our private Morocco tour continues towards Kalaa M’gouna often called the Rose City. Here you may purchase rosewater as a local famous product. Then we continue to Skoura and Ouarzazate, called the Hollywood of Africa. Here we will visit a local movie studio and also Kasbah in the city center. We stay overnight in a hotel.

 

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

Our private Morocco tour continues to the Ait Benhaddou to visit its UNESCO kasbah. This Kasbah has been used as a backdrop for famous movies such as Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia. We drive through the High Atlas mountains to reach Marrakech.
