11 days Marrakech Merzouga desert tour itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech
Arrive in Marrakech and check into your hotel. Use the rest of the day to explore the city, including the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the souks of the Medina, and the Koutoubia Mosque.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, head to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a 17th-century fortress and former caravan stop. Check into your hotel in Ouarzazate and enjoy dinner in the city.
Day 3: Ouarzazate – Merzouga
Take an early morning drive to Merzouga, where you will stay in a traditional Berber camp in the Sahara Desert and experience the magic of a desert sunset.
Day 4: Merzouga
Explore the desert on a camel ride and visit a Berber village to learn about the local culture. Spend another night in the camp under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga – Fes
After breakfast, drive to Fes and check into your hotel. Use the rest of the day to explore the city, including the medieval Medina and the Bou Inania Madrasa.
Day 6: Fes
Spend a full day exploring Fes, including the tanneries, the Royal Palace, and the Al Quaraouiyine mosque.
Day 7: Fes – Chefchaouen
Take a drive to Chefchaouen, a picturesque blue-painted town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Check into your hotel and explore the town on foot.
Day 8: Chefchaouen
Use the day to explore the town at your leisure, including the Kasbah, the Medina, and the Ras El Ma waterfall.
Day 9: Chefchaouen – Tangier
Take a drive to Tangier, stopping in Tetouan to see the Royal Palace and the Jewish quarter. Check into your hotel and explore the city, including the Kasbah and the beaches.
Day 10: Tangier
Enjoy a day in Tangier to explore the city and relax on the beach.
Day 11: Departure
